Nifas Lafto is our fine single-origin coffee from Ethiopia, from the renowned Yirgacheffe region. This coffee is a real gem in the panorama of superior quality coffees.

Our specialty coffee undergoes a sun-drying process on special beds, positioned approximately half a meter above the ground. During this process, the coffee is turned regularly to ensure uniform airflow and proper drying of the beans. This attention to detail in the processing helps preserve the coffee's unique qualities.

The result is a naturally sweet and light coffee with a distinctive flavor profile. Yirgacheffe coffee is appreciated for its notes of natural sweetness that blend harmoniously with hints of fruit and delicate flowers. This flavor profile makes the coffee a great option for drip coffee lovers, offering a light and refined cup.

Where’s it from

Almaz Teklu, a mother of five, is a farmer from Chelchelie a village (kebele) in Gedeb district, close to Yirgacheffe. This lot is comprised heirloom subvarieties known locally as Kumie, Diga, and Wilsho, grown under the protective shade of Acacia and Sudan Teak (Cordia Africana) in the 2.6-hectare area surrounding Almaz's home. This washed lot was fermented for 36 hours, fully washed in clean water grain channels and then dried for 16 days on raised African beds.
